Roof repairs
Diagnosing the root cause of leaks, slipped slates, failed flashing and storm damage — fixed properly the first time.
Founder of Keystone Roofing & Construction. On Cork roofs since 2000, and on every full re-roof Keystone delivers — because the standard of work is set on site, not on paper.
Michael personally scopes and signs off every full re-roof.
Cork-based roofing contractor founded in 2009.
AXA public liability cover up to €6.5 million.
Written quotes, photo evidence and 20-year workmanship guarantees.
Michael's bio is short because his work isn't. Twenty years of Cork weather, period properties, modern estates, problem leaks, and full re-roofs.
I'm Michael Casey, founder of Keystone Roofing & Construction based in Cork. I've been working in roofing and construction for over 20 years, completing hundreds of projects across Cork and surrounding counties.
My main focus is roof repairs and full roof replacements, but my experience goes far beyond just roofing. Over the years, I've built up substantial knowledge in general building and renovations, which allows me to properly understand how a roof integrates with the overall structure of a property. This means I don't just treat surface issues — I identify the root cause and deliver long-term, practical solutions.
I've worked on a wide range of properties, from older homes requiring careful restoration to more modern builds needing upgrades or corrective work. I specialise in slate and tile roofing, insulation improvements, and resolving ongoing issues such as leaks, failed membranes, and poor previous workmanship.
My approach is straightforward — do the job properly, use the right materials, and don't cut corners. I believe in giving honest advice and carrying out work to a standard that lasts, not just a quick fix that creates bigger problems down the line.
Keystone Roofing & Construction is fully insured, and I take pride in maintaining a high level of workmanship and reliability on every project I take on.
Hands-on for every full re-roof, complex chimney work and any job where the previous diagnosis has gone wrong. Keystone has trained crews for the rest, but Michael runs the inspection and signs off the scope.
Diagnosing the root cause of leaks, slipped slates, failed flashing and storm damage — fixed properly the first time.
Slate, concrete tile and modern systems with breathable membrane, new battens, fresh leadwork and a 20-year guarantee in writing.
Period property restoration, like-for-like Welsh and Spanish slate work, conservation-area-aware replacements.
Rafter-level upgrades during re-roofs and standalone attic upgrades coordinated with SEAI grant timing.
Long-standing leaks, failed membranes, multiple-contractor jobs and corrective work where previous repairs created new problems.
Roof work that respects how the rest of the building behaves — not just surface fixes that ignore the structure underneath.
Four principles that decide every quote, every site, every handover.
Use the right materials. Don't cut corners. The cheapest job is rarely the best value over 10–20 years.
Most leaks aren't where the drip is. Find what's actually failing — fix that, not just the symptom.
If repair makes more sense than replacement, we say so. If a problem is going to come back, we explain why.
Every project is built to be sound 15–20 years from now, not just to pass a final inspection.
Keystone is a fully registered Cork business with €6.5M public liability cover and a 20-year written workmanship guarantee on every project.
